Violinist Jimmy Park and pianist Alexander Yau present a delightful program of music by Debussy, Faure, Ravel and Schubert. The program is centred around French music, commemorating Ravel's 150th anniversary with his best known violin showpiece, Tzigane, along with the late enigmatic sonata for Violin and Piano by Debussy and the luscious and intricate sonata by Faure. The great Schubert Fantasie for violin and piano, a masterwork of long and songful themes with dazzling virtuosity for both players, closes the recital.
